Eilean Àird Meithinis is a small uninhabited tidal island located half a mile to the south of the hamlet of Uigen/Uigean on the Valtos Peninsula on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis. It is low lying, flat and about 100 metres from north to south by 50 metres from east to west. It is covered in grass and grazed by sheep, which have worn a path through the seaweed and onto the island. Thrift, lousewort, milkwort, daisies, tormentil and bird's-foot trefoil were all in flower when I visited the island in June 2018.
