Island 417 - Killiagaunummera, County Mayo

Killiagaunummera is a very small tidal island located 4 miles west of the town of Westport on the south coast of Clew Bay.   It lies between the mainland of County Mayo and the larger island to the north, which is called Annagh Island West.  There is a vehicle track across the island, which leads on to Annagh Island West.

Killiagaunummera was being grazed by sheep when I walked north along the shingle ridge that links it to the mainland of County Mayo but when they saw me, they all ran away!
