Island 58 - Annaghvaan/Eanach Mheáin, County Galway, Ireland

Annaghvaan (Eanach Mheáin) is linked to County Galway by a bridge from near the village of Bealadangan.  There is another bridge from Annaghvaan to the island of Lettermore.  In 2011 it had a population of 141.  The island is just under a mile from east to west and just over half a mile from north to south

The island is home to the Connemara Isles Golf Club.  The nine hole course was constructed in 1993 and the clubhouse is thatched.  There is also a pub on the island called The Hooker Bar.  The Galway Hooker is a kind of traditional sailing boat.
