Island 318 - Eilean nan Clach Corr, Benbecula, Outer Hebrides

Eilean nan Clach Corr is another island on the causeway between North Uist and Benbecula. It is midway between Benbecula and Grimsay.  It is small, low lying and unremarkable.  It is covered in grass and when I visited there was no sign of it having been grazed by sheep recently.  There were a few faint paths, so people must visit it sometimes. Buttercups and tormentil were in flower and there were patches of cottongrass.

This sign sums the island up - it is just a place to pass on the way to somewhere more interesting
